It should come as no surprise, then, to learn that fans have begun to get the faces or even the breath of Twitch and YouTube content creators tattooed onto their skin. One Reddit user who goes by the name Conor_exe recently shared a fairly large black and white portrait of Pokimane that they got permanently etched onto their bicep. After sitting through two eight-hour sessions, the art piece is not yet finished and still requires another eight hours of work. After that, says Conor_exe, they plan to possibly get Valkyrae tattooed on their forearm.

The responses to Conor_exe’s life choice are mixed, as might be expected, though the majority seem to be opposed to their decision to get a Pokimane tattoo. From “nah bruh a tattoo is crazy dawg” to “weird champ but okay,” the majority of commenters on the Reddit thread seem either bemused or disbelieving, with one person expressing certainty that Conor_exe is trolling the forum.
However, Conor_exe doesn’t seem to mind the haters or mockery, having shared images of the tattoo on multiple subreddits. In response to one commenter asking why they would tattoo Pokimane’s face onto their arm, Conor_exe replied, “Personally, I like portrait tattoos. I really like TV show characters.” They then revealed that they already have three other people tattooed on their other arm, including Clarke Griffin and Madi from The 100 sci-fi TV series. The Pokimane tattoo will eventually be joined by one of Daenerys, which is planned for the other side of the bicep.
As odd as it might seem to get a tattoo of a Twitch streamer, Conor_exe seems content and even proud of the Pokimane work they’ve had done, and ultimately it’s their decision to make. People get video game characters and even tattoos of the PlayStation DualShock controller on their bodies, which might seem just as questionable a choice to anybody uninterested in video games.
Getting a tattoo is a much safer and less frightening way to show dedication to a Twitch or YouTube streamer than some of the other methods fans use. In the past, content creators like Valkyrae have recounted some alarming experiences with stalkers, IRL stream snipers, and other worrying incidents.
