The Try Guys confirmed Ned Fulmer’s dismissal from the team on September 27, as the result of an alleged affair that he had with a colleague, and it has caused the YouTube channel to trend on Twitter periodically since. Because Twitch and YouTube content creators are often familiar with each other, many popular livestreamers have given their thoughts on Ned Fulmer’s alleged infidelity and removal from Try Guys even before Pokimane discussed the subject. During a September 29 Twitch stream, Pokimane expressed condolences for Ariel Fulmer and their two children while emphasizing how saddened she is by the situation.

On the aforementioned stream, Pokimane was going through comments from both Try Guys and Ned Fulmer himself as she provided her thoughts on the matter with her dedicated community of over nine million Twitch followers. Pokimane reminded her audience of the Fulmer kids when breaking down the severity of the allegations, as Ariel Fulmer may not be the only one affected by Ned’s alleged choices. Upon going into the selfishness of an act like cheating, Pokimane stated that Ned Fulmer was likely “imposing trauma on” his wife and his children, specifically emphasizing the kids in the equation.
Pokimane also got into the difference between a woman being cheated on when their in a relationship versus when they’re married and building a future together with them, stating “it’s a lot easier” to cut someone before a wedding or pregnancy. Reminding her audience that cheating is bad either way, Pokimane stated that “if you’re dating someone, and they cheat on you, that’s already terrible enough as it is,” but the Twitch livestreamer really drove home the impact that it could have on a family dynamic.
While most of the responses to Pokimane were further questions or words of encouragement for what she had to say, others picked up on a moment in the clip in which she said “as a wife.” This caused some to ask if they missed something since Pokimane’s secret boyfriend. Because of the sensitive nature of the allegations against Ned Fulmer, many of the comments also added more information about the drama, and others had negative sentiments for the former member of Try Guys.
