KANIT WINS HIGH ROLLER
Popular Italian pro Mustapha Kanit (GPI No. 54), who’s heads-up victory gave his Nation the win at GPI Poker World Cup last March in Malta, has been on a winning spree since the big win, stacking up major victories both on the live and online tournament circuits. Sunday was no different as Kanit would leave Barcelona victorious, defeating Kuljinder Sidhu (GPI No. 1224) heads-up for the title, and the massive $834K USD first place prize.
Massachusets native and World Top 10 ranked Nicholas Petrangelo (GPI No. 9), finished 3rd in the event. Petrangelo’s GPI World Poker Ranking has been on a monumental rise in 2015, beginning the season ranked #921 in the World.
