The pair of Pokemon RPG titles from the Gamecube, Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness, have become some of the most popular entries for longtime fans of the monster-catching franchise. The games take a markedly different approach than the mainline games, dropping the usual romp against a variety of gym leaders for a more focused story revolving around the mysterious Shadow Pokemon. The region of Orre also included a variety of unique locales for players to explore, and now a passionate fan of the games has brought Orre’s Gateon Port city to life in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

The video uploaded by YouTuber Ian’s Parks, who has previously created several other maps for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, recently shared their take on Pokemon XD’s Gateon Port. They showed off several tricks and grinds in the footage, allowing fans to see iconic locations like the massive lighthouse towering at the edge of the city and the iconic Krabby Club. The city even features the revolving walkways over the harbor, though they don’t appear to move like in the games.

The Pokemon-inspired creation is just the most recent in a slew of parks made by the YouTuber, bringing several iconic game locations into Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. Previous videos have featured popular and recognizable locations like the Mother series’ Onett, The Legend of Zelda’s Hyrule Castle and Kakariko Village, and even Persona 5’s home base of Cafe Leblanc. The Gateon Port video’s demo sequence even features the skater in an outfit based on the protagonist of Pokemon XD, with other videos paying homage to the protagonists of the featured game.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 has often been turned into a virtual canvas by the game’s most inventive players. Fans of the game have adapted locations like the skate parks from Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Harry Potter’s wizarding school of Hogwarts, and several others into the game. Map creators like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s Create-A-Park mode are breeding grounds for stunning designs and awesome tributes to iconic gaming legends like Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness.
