The Pokemon Company and TiMi Studios have been fairly regular in adding new pocket creatures into the MOBA title. The month of October saw two new Pokemon being added to Pokemon Unite’s playable roster, the Dark-type Zoroark and Fairy-type Clefairy’s evolved form Clefable. Even though Sableye is the only Pokemon teased and announced by the devs early this November, it is likely that a couple more Pokemon will be revealed to the public in the coming days.

On the official Twitter account of Pokemon Unite, Sableye was recently announced as the next Pokemon that will be added to the title. According to the development team, the Dark/Ghost-type pocket creature will officially be part of the video game by November 16. A day before Sableye was unveiled, Pokemon Unite had already teased its arrival through an earlier Twitter post that featured the Pokemon’s silhouette and iconic gemstone eyes in some dark tall grass. For avid fans of the Pokemon, its well-known features were probably easy to recognize, and its reveal likely did not come as a surprise.

Aside from its release date on Pokemon Unite, no further details about Sableye had been shared by the team. This means that there is no confirmation yet on the Pokemon Unite battle type of the Dark/Ghost-type Pokemon nor its possible upcoming skills and moves in the MOBA title. Fan reactions to the Twitter announcement also seem to be divided. Many within the player base share their excitement about the new addition to the game’s roster. However, some have expressed their apprehension about the game’s procedures for launching new Pokemon, especially when many are locked behind an in-game paywall involving Aeos Gems.

Nevertheless, fans of Pokemon Unite should probably expect that more information about Sableye will come out very soon on the game’s official channels. On the days leading to a Pokemon’s release date on the MOBA, the development team normally shares short gameplay snippets and moveset teasers as a way to hype up the community. Hopefully, these details will be shared by Pokemon Unite sooner than later.

Pokemon Unite is available for Mobile and Nintendo Switch.
