As of June 8, 2022, the Fire/Psychic-type Delphox has stepped into the arena for the first time in Pokemon Unite. Delphox made its debut in Pokemon X/Y as the final evolution of the Fire-type starter, Fennekin. In Pokemon Unite, players can also equip Delphox with Holowear by spending Holowear Tickets. However, before deciding on what Delphox should wear into battle, it needs to have a solid Build to hold its own out in the field.

Delphox Builds in Pokemon Unite
As an overview, Delphox is an Attacker with a Ranged Type. Unlike physical hitters such as Lucario, Delphox’s Damage Type is Special.
As a (currently) S-tier unit, Delphox is easy for beginners and experts alike with its long-range moves and a moveset with quick cooldowns. On the other hand, Delphox’s bane is its low defense and physical attack.
Since it doesn’t have enough Defense to be a wall against an onslaught of attackers, Delphox works better as a DPS (damaged per second) unit. Make use of its Fire Attacks and equip it with the right Held Items to bring out its full potential.
There are a few Builds players can use for Delphox which can change the type of Lane it’s best suited for in the Remoat Stadium. Here’s an overview of its moves and its best items:
Build 1: Fire Blast + Fire Spin
This combines Delphox’s powerful Fire Blast and Fire Spin to make the most out of ranged attacks. While Fire Blast is good for shooting fire in a designated direction, Fire Spin is for when enemies get too close to Delphox. Fire Spin has the added ability of DPS and slowing down enemies but at the cost of an 8-second cooldown. Players will want to equip the Choice Specs and the Wise Glasses to bring out the best of its Special Attack. Have the Eject Button as its Battle Item to move Delphox out of the way of oncoming enemies.

Build 2: Mystical Fire + Fire Spin
This build works best from the backlines with Mystical Fire’s range and Fire Spin’s DPS. It’s similar to the Fire Blast + Fire Spin Build, but players can swap out the Wise Glasses with an Energy Amplifier. Players can use either the Eject Button or the X Speed as their Battle Item depending if they want to rely more on Offense or Defense. Fire Spin has 2x the cooldown as Mystical Fire, so players will want the Energy Amplifier to double the damage. If players are worried about health, have Delphox equipped with a Buddy Barrier.
Build 3: Mystical Fire + Flame Charge
By combining the quick-attacking Flame Charge with wide-range Mystical Fire, Delphox will be able to make the most out of speed and offense whether that means going after opponents, or using Flame Charge to get away. The Held Items don’t really change from the previous builds (i. e: Choice Specs), but players may want to swap out the Wise Glasses for a Focus Band instead. This will lessen the severity of Delphox’s low Defense stats to help it charge through with Flame Charge. Use an X Speed instead of the Eject Button to increase Delphox’s movement speed on the playing field and prevent its speed from being lowered.
