Pokemon Sword and Shield have had a ton of giveaways for rare Pokemon. Players recently got a code for a shiny Amoonguss that was based off of a competition entry. The Alolan fan favorite Zeraora was given away, as well as the new legendary Zarude. For Dynamax Crystals, Larvitar and Jangmo-o were given away in the double pack versions of the games. For this giveaway, players just need to use the Pokemon Pass app on their phones at a GameStop to get the code. This giveaway seems to be restricted to only the US, unfortunately.

Copperajah is the Steel elephant that has a bulldozer Gigantamax form. It takes hits well and has strong attacks alongside its Ability Sheer Force, which removes additional abilities on an attack in order to increase its damage. If any players haven’t spent a lot of time with this powerhouse, now may be the perfect time to change up the party. Experimenting with different types of Pokemon is crucial to finding the perfect balance in battles.

Players can add Copperajah to their list of max raid battles to take on for the next couple of weeks. During the month of August, Sword and Shield will showcase Water and Ground Pokemon in raids. Gamers who still need a good Drednaw or Sandaconda with Gigantamax abilities can get their hands on them while their spawn rates are increased. Both of these Pokemon do well in competition, friendly battles, and the Isle of Armor DLC.

With Copperajah and some of these Water and Ground Pokemon, trainers might be better equipped to take on the Trial of Armor challenges without needing any exploits to do so. It is unclear if the Crown Tundra DLC will also include any sort of challenge system but collecting these powerful Gigantamax Pokemon is sure to help trainers conquer anything that the addition has in store.

While players still have to wait for the Crown Tundra and whatever returning Pokemon it may bring, there is plenty in the base games and Isle of Armor DLC for them to stay busy training. Between competition, collection, and curry, these games continue to provide nearly endless hours of entertainment and adventure.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are available now on Switch.
