With Nintendo opting out of dedicated press conferences during the actual E3 event, it has become tradition for the company to provide most of its big reveals in Nintendo Directs leading up to the event and then use the Treehouse portion of E3 week to release smaller bits of gameplay information and details. This year is no exception and it seems like the bulk of the attention is being placed on Pokemon Sword and Shield.
The big livestream kicks off at 6 am PT and 9 AM ET, so fans should be finding a secure internet connection and getting the popcorn ready. For convenience, you can watch the whole stream right here, once it begins…
This presentation is set to provide about 15 minutes of new information, so there should be lots to digest in just an hour or so. Early leaks are predicting a November 15 release date and the reveal of a new gameplay hook (or gimmick) to leverage the Switch technology.
Although many fans really enjoyed Pokemon Let’s Go, this is definitely the next installment in the main franchise that handheld fans have been hoping for. It will be very exciting to see how the game satisfies those traditional fans and still carries over some of the new audience from Let’s Go and Pokemon GO.
Be sure to check back in the coming week and throughout E3 2019 for more news, strategy guides, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield release later this year exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
