Gamers have encountered bizarre glitches in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, like the duplication bug and the one which makes NPCs disappear. Meanwhile, many Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players have found tiny details and peculiar behavior in Pokemon. One fan has witnessed an unusual reaction from a newly introduced Pokemon, Lechonk.

Twitter user tundrakatiebean has shared a video showing something odd about Lechonk. The video shows a Pokemon egg that is about to hatch when a nearby Lechonk appears and stands beside it. Lechonk observes the hatching process closely; when it’s complete, a tiny Quaxly emerges, another new Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, as soon as the Pokemon egg hatches, Lechonk appears to be in a state of shock, evidenced by its reaction. It should be noted that Lechonk is based on a piglet, and usually, its ears are downwards, slightly covering its eyes. But when Quaxly appears, Lechonk’s ears flare up.

Many Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players were unaware of this phenomenon where Pokemon behave differently after seeing an egg hatching. On the other hand, many fans also shared similar clips where other Pokemon, like Psyduck, appeared to be surprised to see an egg hatch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Pokemon eggs and breeding have been a part of the franchise for a long time, but the process has slightly changed in the latest games. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced a Picnic feature where players breed Pokemon to obtain eggs. The previous Pokemon titles had the Nurseries option where gamers could get a single egg at a time, and now they can get up to 10 eggs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Picnics.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans who want to obtain eggs in Picnics must ensure they have compatible Pokemon. The Pokemon should be from the same Egg Group but have the opposite sex. Also, legendary Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet, like Koraidon and Miraidon, don’t yield any eggs as they are incapable of breeding.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
