Of course, all rumors and leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but Khu has proven reliable multiple times in the past. They even revealed what Fuecoco and Sprigatito would look like ahead of the initial Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveal. Another leaker to crop up is Blaines, whose reputation isn’t as proven as Khu’s, but between the two, fans may know what Fuecoco’s final forms look like.

Blaines has the most direct descriptions online, but Khu has confirmed some of this themself. Some fans believed that Fuecoco would follow the Fire-Starter Zodiac theory and become more snake-like as it evolves, but that’s not the case. According to these leakers, Fuecoco will firmly remain a crocodile, but in its middle stage, it is said to have an egg on its head. When Fuecoco evolves into its final form, that egg will “hatch” and a flame shaped like a bird will rest atop of Fuecoco’s final evolution.
Having an external flame isn’t uncommon for Fire Pokemon or Starters, but this approach is unique and interesting. The reason behind is as equally enticing too. There is a bird known as the Egyptian plover, sometimes known as the Crocodile Bird, that will often rest on a crocodile and also eat decaying meat from its teeth. It would be interesting if the Fuecoco evolution line’s special attack or one of its animations saw the bird go into its mouth before something like a flamethrower attack.
While this should come with a grain of salt, this Fuecoco design does sound promising for the already popular starter. Other rumors suggest that Fuecoco will evolve into a Fire/Ghost-type, and that adds even more potential design elements to this. Hopefully, a new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer will reveal this soon enough, especially as the November release date approaches.
As some of these leaks appear to be legit, fans who want to go into the game blind (or at least mostly) should avoid Pokemon Scarlet and Violet or general Pokemon-oriented social media accounts. There’s likely to be more in the coming months, and blocking a few accounts would ensure this, for those fans.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release on November 18 for Nintendo Switch.
