While Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans wait for more official information on the new games, leaks about the titles and what they will entail have been hitting the Internet on a near-daily basis. Some of these Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks come from reputable sources, whereas others come from leakers who have a spottier track record. Some of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks have been proven to be fake as well, so fans should take any leaks with a massive grain of salt.

One of the most frequent sources of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks is CentroLeaks on Twitter. The latest claims suggest that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be introducing a surprising evolution for a Generation 1 Pokemon.
The Generation 1 Pokemon games featured Mankey and its evolved form Primeape, with no new evolutions introduced for them ever since. However, if CentroLeaks’ information is accurate, it seems as though Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be introducing a new evolution for Primeape. Furthermore, it’s claimed that Primeape’s evolution in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will actually be a dual fighting/ghost-type Pokemon, which is interesting, to say the least.
Again, fans should take the information with a big grain of salt before getting too excited about the possibility of a Primeape evolution in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, this wouldn’t be the first time that a Pokemon game introduced a new evolution for a previously-established Pokemon. In fact, the Generation 4 Pokemon games, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, introduced fresh evolutions for a number of Generation 1 Pokemon, and so who’s to say Scarlet and Violet can’t do the same when they release later this year.
The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet release date has been confirmed for November 18, and so fans can expect Nintendo to ramp up marketing for the games in the months ahead. There will assuredly be more trailers and big reveals in store that should either legitimize some of the leaks or prove them to be inaccurate.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launch November 18, exlcusively for the Nintendo Switch.
