A Redditor who goes by the handle PaleAd6109 shared their designs for the evolutionary lines of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters. While they have shared what they thought the final evolutions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters will look like before, they have now also showed off their take on the second stage of the three Pokemon.
In PaleAd6109’s drawings, Sprigatito develops darker fur colors when it evolves and grows a small cloak. The Pokemon keeps the leaf pattern on its face, though it is much darker. Fuecoco ends up on all fours and gets a much meaner look. The Pokemon develops spikes on its back, and the stems on its head become darker and more pronounced. Finally, Quaxly grows much taller and its hat resembles that of a sailor’s a little more. The Pokemon was drawn with more angled eyes and a sharper beak.
PaleAd6109 states that their drawings for the final stages of Pokemon Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly were well received, which prompted them to draw the middle evolutions. One commenter stated that the drawings were “beautiful,” while another called them “dope.” One fan hopes that Sprigatito’s evolutionary line follows PaleAd6109’s trend and stays quadrupedal.
While artists such as PaleAd6109 are imagining what Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters will become, one leaker claims that they know how Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly will evolve as Pokemon. According to Twitter user The SV Guy, Sprigatito will eventually turn into Florarince, a Grass/Fairy-type based on the Iberian lynx and flamenco dancers. Fuecoco’s final form will be Cucapiente, a Fire/Ghost-type based off of Cucafera and a Quetzacoatl. Finally, The SV Guy claims that Quaxly will become Cabospada, a Water/Dark-type based off of Zorro and Don Quixote. As this information has not been officially confirmed, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release in 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
