The latest Pokemon titles continue to develop the potential for gameplay in the series, with Scarlet and Violet furthering many of the open world aspects which were first seen in Pokemon Legends: Arceus earlier in the year. The new games have also dropped a massive number of never-before-seen Pokemon in the diverse world of Pokemon, introducing a total of 107 new species of Pokemon, including the brand-new starters. Continuing the starter typing that has persisted since Pokemon Red and Blue came out in 96’, the Grass-type Sprigatito, Fire-type Fuecoco, and Water-type Quaxly have each become the new favorites for many Trainers across the world, both new and old....

In the Generation 3 of Pokemon, fire-type starter Torchic eventually evolves into Blaziken, a dual fire/fighting-type Pokemon. Then Generation 4 fire-type Chimchar evolves into fire/fighting-type Infernape. This continued with the Generation 5 fire-type starter Tepig, who becomes fire/fighting-type Emboar. And while Cinderace and Incineroar are not fire/fighting-types (Incineroar is a fire/dark-type and Cinderace is a pure fire-type), visually, they look similar to fighting-types. In fact, Incineroar is designed to look like a professional wrestler....

Just one of the 107 new critters added to the wonderful world of Pokemon, Maushold is an insanely cute yet powerful Pokemon whose main feature is its family nature. Although it counts as a single Pokemon, Maushold can come in two different forms, one consisting of a family of four mice with the other being a family of three. Its preceding evolutionary form, known as Tandemaus, consists of a duo of small mouse Pokemon, with the only obvious change in appearance upon its evolution being the addition of either one or two baby mice Pokemon....

In the older Pokemon games, the only way players were able to level up their Pokemon was by using them in battles. However, newer games in the series have given players more ways to earn experience points and level up, like with Exp Share. Exp Share gives experience points to Pokemon in one’s party even if they didn’t actually participate in the fight. The Auto Battles will be a new way for players to level up their Pokemon in a non-traditional way....

Recently, several alleged Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leaks started surfacing online, with Riddler Khu being one of the most prominent voices in the scene due to their proven track record. Khu leaked things like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s starters’ type combinations and what players can expect in terms of appearance for the evolutions of Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Throughout the months leading to July, Khu also revealed other Pokemon species from Generation 9, albeit through riddles and hints....

Litten will evolve into Torracat, a Fire-type creature that essentially looks like an older version of the starter, only with a fiery orb at its neck....

Pokeballs have come so far that the Nintendo Switch even has a “Pokeball Controller” you can use for the console. In order to get your free Charmander in Sword and Shield, you will need to have finished the Pokemon League and defeated Leon in battle. Once you’ve done that, go back to your home town of Postwick and head over to Leon’s/Hop’s house a few steps away from yours. Go inside and head to the top floor to Leon’s room. This week, Reddit user theboyzz0111 reminded us of this fact with their tale of trying to catch the most elusive prey in Sword and Shield: a Shiny Pokemon. These ultra-rare variations of regular Pokemon, with their unique color schemes and 1/4096 chance of being encountered, are among the most valuable Pokemon one can attain, if only for the bragging rights of having encountered caught such a special creature. Given how rare they are, it’s no surprise that determined players can spend dozens of hours just trying to encounter a Shiny Pokemon in the wild, or searching for any exploit that can help them find Shinies faster....

Most players will be able to evolve Sinistea, a Ghost-type Pokemon possessing a teacup as its body, into Polteageist with an item called the Chipped Pot in Pokemon Sword and Shield. This item is used in much the same way as evolution stones are for other Pokemon. In extremely rare cases, however, it is possible for a player’s Sinistea to require a Cracked Pot to evolve instead. Players will still receive a Polteageist after using the item, but the creature will emerge in a Non-Forgery Form that adds a stamp of authenticity to the ghostly teapot’s underside....

Poker Face will mark the television directorial debut for Johnson, who is best known for his extremely successful murder mystery Knives Out. He is bringing his unique style to the small screen on Peacock, with Lyonne’s Charlie Cale taking on the role of lead investigator this time. There seem to be many actors involved in the series, possibly making guest appearances as potential wrongdoers.
